Izzy is a Trainee Patent Attorney in the Dehns Biotechnology Group, having joined the Dehns London Office in September 2023.
Prior to joining, Izzy completed an Integrated Master’s degree in Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry at the University of Oxford, with a final project focusing on eukaryotic transcription termination. Following this, Izzy worked in high-throughput genomics research at the Wellcome Centre for Human Genetics.
Izzy has experience working with a variety of clients, from solo inventors and small/medium-sized businesses to larger companies.
The majority of Izzy’s work concerns the filing and prosecution of patent applications, having gained experience working in multiple jurisdictions including the EPO, the UK, the US, Canada, China, India, the Republic of Korea and Japan.
Since joining the firm, Izzy has worked in a variety of technical areas of biochemistry and biotechnology, including technologies related to immunology, antibody and cell-based therapies, nucleic acid manipulations and assays, cell culture, and therapeutic uses of pharmaceutical compositions.
